CityInBrief is an independent site with short city guides for all 81 provinces of Türkiye and 196 world capitals. Our aim is to put the basics you want to know before a trip on a single page: location, time difference, currency, language, top sights and climate.

Where does the information come from?

The city descriptions are written originally for this site. Country facts (language, currency, time zone, calling code) are compiled from open data sources. Maps are drawn with Natural Earth data. Images are chosen only from freely licensed pictures on Wikimedia Commons, and each one is credited with its author and licence. Sources for statistics such as visitor numbers are shown in the relevant section.

Accuracy

We try to keep everything accurate and current, but things like clock changes, exchange rates and holiday dates can change. Estimated values are marked as "estimated". Please also check official sources when planning a trip. If you spot a mistake, write to [email protected].
