About Van
Van lies on the eastern shore of Lake Van, Türkiye's largest lake. In antiquity Tushpa, capital of the Kingdom of Urartu, stood here.
The 10th-century church on Akdamar Island and Van Castle are its symbols. The Van breakfast and the Van cat, with its odd-coloured eyes, are also well known.
