About Tokat
Tokat, in the Yeşilırmak valley, grew in importance under the Danishmendids and Seljuks.
The Gök Madrasa, the Latifoğlu Mansion and the castle above the town form its historic fabric. Zile is known as the site of the battle after which Caesar said "Veni, vidi, vici".
