About Sarajevo
Sarajevo lies in the valley of the Miljacka River and was developed by the Ottomans in the 15th century. It carries traces of East and West side by side.
Baščaršija, the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and the Latin Bridge are its historic places. The assassination that triggered the First World War took place near this bridge in 1914.
