About Samsun
Samsun is the largest city on the central Black Sea coast. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk landed here on 19 May 1919, launching the War of Independence.
The Kızılırmak and Yeşilırmak deltas are important for birdwatching. The Bandırma Ferry Museum and the tumuli on Amisos Hill are its historic stops.
