About Rize
Rize is the first place that comes to mind for tea in Türkiye. Tea growing spread here in the first half of the 20th century, and the tea gardens on its slopes became the province's symbol.
The very wet climate covers the foothills of the Kaçkar Mountains in dense forest. Highland pastures such as Ayder and the Fırtına valley are popular for summer hikes.
