About Manisa
Manisa lies on the Gediz plain at the foot of Mount Sipylus. In the Ottoman period it was one of the cities where princes were trained to govern.
Sardis, capital of the Lydian Kingdom, is known as the place where the first coins were struck. The Mesir paste festival and Spil Mountain National Park are also well known.
