Kastamonu

Kastamonu is a mountainous, forested province in the western Black Sea region. The castle above the city recalls its past as seat of the Candaroğulları Beylik.

Küre Mountains National Park, Valla Canyon and Ilgarini Cave are its nature highlights. The coasts of Cide and İnebolu and Kastamonu's historic mansions are also worth seeing.
