About Gümüşhane
Gümüşhane takes its name from the silver mines worked throughout its history. It lies in the valley of the Harşit stream, inland among the eastern Black Sea mountains.
The stalactites and stalagmites of Karaca Cave are its best-known natural sight. It is also known for local treats such as pestil and köme.
