Erzincan

Erzincan stands on a fertile plain fed by the Karasu, a branch of the Euphrates. Over its history it has had to be rebuilt after several major earthquakes.

The Stone Road and Dark Canyon in Kemaliye are among the province's most impressive natural sights. The Ergan ski resort and the Urartian fortress of Altıntepe are also worth seeing.
