About Çorum

Çorum lies in the heart of the Hittite homeland. Hattusa, capital of the Hittite Empire, is in its Boğazkale district.

Hattusa, the rock sanctuary of Yazılıkaya and Alacahöyük are the key places for understanding one of Anatolia's oldest civilisations. Çorum is also known for its roasted chickpeas (leblebi).
