About Bitlis
Bitlis is a historic town built in a narrow valley west of Lake Van, known for its stone houses and steep streets.
The Nemrut Caldera within the province holds one of the world's large crater lakes. The Seljuk cemetery at Ahlat has some of the most remarkable gravestones in Anatolia.
